More Highline Please!
This past weekend I did one of my all time favorite NY activities with my good friend Adam - walk the Highline and gorge out at Chelsea market right after. Amidst a city of garbage bags all over the streets and putrid puddles collecting on every corner, it always shocks me to see a place of perfectly presevrved beauty and design outdoors in New York.
The first time that I had been on since the new construction - I was blown away by some of the details and finesse that have been recently added. Clearly Saturday afternoon was the WORST time to go, since we had to shuffle along in a line of very slow moving New Yorkers. We must head back during the week to find a bit of solitude.
There has been talk of extending the Highline up the entire west side and even a few rumors of a similar park being built underground in Lower East Side tunnels…
